Upon completion of this course, you will receive credit for the training requirements mandated by the State of Tennessee in response to the Sudden Unexplained Child Death Act.
The Sudden Unexplained Child Death Act, signed into law in May 2001 and amended in April 2002, states that all emergency medical technicians, firefighters, and law enforcement officers must receive training on the handling of cases of sudden, unexplained infant death as part of their basic and continuing training requirements (Tenn. Code Ann. § 68-1-1102, 2001 and supp. 2002).
